Andy Warhol Rare Vintage c. This large-scale, vintage, original poster was produced in the early 1980s for the film. Directed by Rainer Fassbinder, and comes directly from the estate of Andy Warhol. Warhol was commissioned by Fassbinder to design a poster for his film adaptation of Jean Genet's classic novel. The story of a sailor in the sexual underworld of a port city, the film aligned with Warhols own cinematic explorations.

The work featured in this poster is derived from photographs taken by Warhol. The extensive series of photos and prints of the subjects reveal Warhol's interest in the power of love, sex, and desire, a recurrent theme throughout his work. Proceeds directly benefit the non-profit charitable organization he founded.
