1935 RARE Original vintage Advertising Print TRAVANCORE STATE INDIA K Nixon (AD16-15). This is fine rare original vintage advertising Travel print with an illustration by Kay Nixon promoting the Indian State Railways. She was trained at the Camden and Birmingham Schools of Art and lived in India for 25 years.

In India she made illustrations for the Time of India Press and designed some 30 posters for the Indian State Railways. Returning to England her career was mostly focused on illustrating books about animals including "Bird Families", "Animal Mothers and Babies" and Animal Legends. She also worked with Enid Blyton. Published for The Illustrated London News 16th November, 1935. Overall size approx 25cm x 36cm.
