Extremely rare vintage Liverpool City Street Light Department cap & enamel badge

Here we have an extremely rare vintage/possibly antique LCLD Liverpool City Street Light Department worker's cap & #96 enamel badge. I've never seen these before as a single item. Let alone the two having stayed together after all these years! The cap is a size 6 5/8, made by T&C. Both are in great overall vintage condition, a few small marks and age related imperfections, but in incredible shape. Badge is approximately 3" tall x 2.25" across.
