The Asti region located in the Piedmont Valley (Northwestertn Italy) is famous for its sparkling wines (spumante) as well as others, more traditional but held in high regard, such as Barolo. Giuseppe Zingari offers fine bottled wines according to the caption.

We don't have a strict data about the artist but it is claimed that it was Aldo Mazza, and the poster style, motifs and structure are highly similar to many other posters of Mazza. Aldo Mazza was a notable Italian poster artist born in 1880 in Milano. His work often featured allegorical figures, such as the woman wrapped in the Italian flag that appears in some of his other wine advertisements, or the putti (cherubs) featured in this image. This style was characteristic of the Art Nouveau and early Art Deco periods in Italian advertising. His work is associated with a group of prominent Italian illustrators who worked in Milan in the early 20th century.

This poster is a guaranteed original art item from the year of its creation. It is not a reproduction.
